Designed to a specification put forward by the French air ministry in 1951, the Aerospatiale, or Sud Aviation, Caravelle was a popular twin-engine airliner which paved the way for many airliners to come.
Featuring rear-mounted engines and horizontal stabilizer mounted high on the tail, the Caravelle was a capable airliner which saw service right up to the early 2000s. Built between 1958 and 1973, some 282 examples were produced across many different variants.
Sold all over the world, the Caravelle could be seen in the colours of many different airlines.
